Group Home Director

Description:

The program director is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and projects. Program director is responsible to ensure that all programs are delivered on time with quality standards.

  • Ensure proper staffing to group home members ratios.
  • Ensure shifts are always covered in group homes at all times.
  • Create weekend schedules with at least four standbys on deck for call offs.
  • Oversee multiple residential settings.
  • Supervise GH Managers and direct care staff.
  • Is available on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to assist with emergency situations and/or shift coverage.
  • Adhere to State policies and training curriculum, including confidentiality and privacy requirements.
  • Attends and participates in scheduled meetings ISP, CFT, TRAINING’s
  • Participates in assisting with implementation of behavior programs.
  • Assist with staff evaluations.
  • Oversees and maintains hours for all staff.
  • Assures all hours for staff are correct in Paycom.
  • Approves punch requests and timesheets for all DCW staff.
  • Communicates and interfaces with various groups and individuals (i.e. supervisor, subordinates, DDD, nurses, physicians, consultants, neighbors, families of residents, etc.)
  • Receives, reviews, processes, files and submits a variety of documents and reports as required.
  • Abides by, enforces, and participates in the implementation and ongoing oversight of safety standards and regulations.
  • Evaluate and anticipate consequences for all managers, leads and staff.
  • Pose as a role model for the managers and staff.
  • Ensure group homes are up to par for licensing.
  • Monitor group home managers to ensure staff are interacting with members, following member schedules, out on activities and attentive to members needs at all times.
  • Works with group home managers and create weekend activity schedules for members.
  • Oversee transportation services with group home managers to and from homes including usage and maintenance of fleet of vehicles.
  • Monitor van cameras every Monday to check for weekend activity and use of vehicles.
  • Report all behaviors and incidents to the Director for corrective actions needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure member program goals are being implemented within group homes.
  • Coordinate and ensure members are attending daily programs (DTA/DTT/DTS/GSE)
  • Create and implement monthly activity calendar for all group homes.
  • Develop, maintain and execute staffing schedules and ensure ratios are met.
  • Manage staff call offs and find coverage for available shifts.
  • Communicate with recruiter on schedule updates and staffing needs.
  • Communicate and submit paperwork regarding staff terminations.
  • Verify staff timesheets and confirm punch requests daily to ensure accurate timecards.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance as needed and communicate with claims respondent (Terry) regarding any information needed for accidents or injuries.
  • Supervise group home managers and oversee systems and compliance for Dream, Hope and Grace and Glory Houses
  • Participate in all member’s PCSP meetings for homes supervised.
  • Check in daily with managers and ensure all incidents are reported to director within a timely manner and managers are submitting all information necessary for IR.
  • Participate in on call responsibilities within rotation of other directors.
